Graduate Program Requirements
Applicants who satisfy the general requirements of the university listed in the Graduate Studies section of the UCR General Catalog (visit General Graduate Requirements), and who will have a baccalaureate degree at the time they enter the graduate program, are considered for admission to the Graduate Division. The Economics Department requires in addition that verbal and quantitative GRE scores be submitted as part of the application process.
Students should feel free to consult with the graduate advisor regarding educational goals and expectations of the program. Upon entry into the program, each student will be assigned a faculty mentor who will act as advisor until the student has decided on an area of research specialization.
Current and detailed information about the Program Requirements and about UCR Courses and Curricula can be found at UCR General Catalog.
