The department offers Ph.D. degrees through our highly-competitive graduate program. We also offer B.A. majors in economics; business economics; economics and administrative studies; and economics, law and society.

Our faculty interests are very wide. We have a number of faculty members who are world-renowned in their respective fields and have won international awards for their research. We also pride ourselves on an outstanding teaching record, with several faculty members who have won distinguished teaching awards. We have an excellent record at placing our graduate students in very competitive teaching and non-teaching positions in the United States and overseas.
