All UC Econometrics Conference 2009
September 25-26, 2009, University of California, Riverside
The All UC Econometrics Conference 2009 will take place on September 25-26, 2009 at UC Riverside. Here we use the term "UC" broadly to include UC and also non-UC universities in California such as Caltech, Stanford, and USC.
California is home to a large family of high-quality econometricians. The aim of the All-UC Econometrics Conference is to provide an opportunity for researchers from different campuses to present their ongoing research to one another. In addition to providing high quality feedback on ongoing research we expect that this gathering will lead to new collaborative projects involving multiple researchers across campuses.
The first All-UC Econometrics Conference, hosted by the Berkeley Econometrics Group, was held at Berkeley on October 17-18, 2008. In its first meeting, that was successful, many participants hoped that the initial gathering will be the first of many future regular meetings of the California econometrics community. http://emlab.berkeley.edu/~webfac/bgraham/secnf/index.shtml
In the second All-UC Econometrics Conference in Riverside, we expect to gather together between 25 and 30 California econometricians for a two day conference. The site of the meeting is the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, which is a beautiful National Historic Landmark, located in downtown Riverside www.missioninn.com.
To facilitate participation in the meeting, regardless of whether you are presenting a paper, some support is available to cover expenses related to travel and accommodations. The UCR Department of Economics will pay for attendees' expenses for air travel (for those from Northern California, up to $200), one night hotel accommodation and parking at Mission Inn Hotel, and conference meals (2 lunch, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, and 4 coffee breaks). Attendee's will be responsible for ground travel and other expenses.
Attendee's should plan to be in Riverside before noon on Friday, September 25th (lunch will be served at noon and the first session starts at 1 pm), and return to their homes in the evening of Saturday, September 26th (the last session ends at 4:30 pm). The nearest large airport is ONT. Mission Inn Hotel provides free shuttle service between ONT and the hotel (about 20 miles).
